Fonthill Houses is a pair of two storey semi-deatched houses for Senior Satff and their families at Charterhouse School, Surrey.
The building is designed to LETI’s ‘Net Zero Operational Carbon’ requirements, incorporating Passivhaus-like detailing along with modern low energy use features such as PV panels, ASHP and MVHR to maximise efficiency.
It is a masonry construction with some timber cladding and a tiled pitched roof. The design is a nod to the previous dilapidated country house on the site in proportion, while materials and colours compliment the woodland surroundings.
