Miller Bourne Architects were commissioned by Glyndebourne Productions Ltd to coordinate and manage the realisation of an external glass lift, designed by Hopkins Architects.
The panoramic semi-circular glass lift car and supporting structure are entirely bespoke and are designed to complement the iconic Opera House at Glyndebourne. As lead consultant and contract administrator, Miller Bourne worked closely with the consultant team, the main contractor and the lift manufacturer to coordinate the installation of the lift in a location with restricted access adjacent to the existing Opera House.
