ASHFORD SCHOOL

Miller Bourne was appointed by United Church Schools Trust to design and administer the contract to renovate, refurbish and extend a pair of Listed Georgian buildings, which were successfully brought back into use as boarding accommodation.

Our next appointment was to produce a masterplan for combining Ashford School with a local preparatory school, The Friars (see link below). Masterplans for both sites were produced, showing how the senior school could change to a co-educational establishment, with new classrooms, specialist art, design technology and science buildings, and comprehensive new sports facilities.

The first phase of the masterplan, the refurbishment of two existing buildings to form a learning resource centre and a café/social space, has been completed, and we have now obtained planning permission for a new sports hall.
